If you want to be a superstar on stardoll, does the stardoll crew steal your money?

I was SO close to being a superstar on stardoll umtil i realized that they asked for the last three numbers on your card, so then i that meant they were just trying to steal your money, so can soemone please tell me why they want the last three number and will they steal your money? Can i trust them?
